The overview

What it is, and why it matters.

RVs, boats and trailers put huge concentrated loads on a surface. A thin base or a soft clay subgrade ruts quickly, so we build these pads deeper, with geotextile, a thick compacted stone base and pavers or concrete rated for the load. We add drainage to carry water away and sloped edges for safe entry.

In Nashville and the surrounding counties, many lots have space beside the house but limited access. We measure turning room, gate width and clearances before design, and we can add privacy fence, gravel buffers or a hookup zone as part of the plan.

Good questions

Parking Pads & RV Pads: common questions

Can I park an RV on pavers?

Yes, on a pad built for it: deeper base, vehicle-rated pavers or concrete and good drainage. A standard patio base is not enough.

Is gravel good enough for a pad?

A well-built gravel pad is lower cost and drains well, but it can rut and migrate. Pavers or concrete stay cleaner and firmer.
