We remove the weeds and old sand, refill with polymeric sand that hardens when activated, compact the surface and mist it correctly so the joints set without hazing.

How long does polymeric sand last?
Often five to ten years, depending on sun, rain and traffic. Joints in shaded areas may need attention sooner.
Does polymeric sand stop weeds completely?
It makes weeds much harder to grow, but seeds can still sprout on top over time. A pre-emergent treatment and occasional sweeping keep it clean.
