Paver patios, built from the base up.
Interlocking concrete pavers on a compacted stone base, laid in the pattern you choose, edged so they stay put and finished with joint sand that locks everything tight.
- Typical base: 4 to 6 in. compacted stone
- Bedding layer: About 1 in. of sand
- Install time: 3 to 7 working days

What it is, and why it matters.
A paver patio is only as good as what is under it. We excavate to firm ground, install geotextile where the soil calls for it, build a compacted crushed-stone base, screed an even bed of sand and set each paver by hand, then lock the edges with restraint and sweep in polymeric sand. That order of work is what keeps a patio flat through Middle Tennessee's wet springs and freeze-thaw swings.
In and around Nashville we see clay soil that holds water and yards that slope toward the house, so grade and drainage are part of every patio plan. You pick the size, color and pattern, from running bond and herringbone to basketweave, borders and inlays, and we show you samples in your own light before anything is ordered.
Four things done right.
Built on a real base
Excavated, compacted and checked with a level, not just raked.
Edges that hold
Restraint on every open side so pavers cannot creep.
Patterns drawn first
You see the layout and cuts before we start.
Repairable forever
Any paver can be lifted and reset if the ground ever moves.

Paver Patios: common questions
How much does a paver patio cost in Nashville?
Commonly published planning ranges for installed paver patios run roughly $15 to $30 per square foot, depending on size, pattern, access, base depth and paver choice. Our Project Planner gives a first estimate in a minute, and a site visit gives you a written price.
Do pavers sink or shift?
A patio built on a properly compacted base with edge restraint stays flat for decades. Settling almost always traces back to a thin or poorly compacted base, which is why we show you the layers, not just the surface.
